i've finally finished all the carving on my surfer chicken print. she is down to just an outline, seen here in black. i still have lots more chickens that still need the final print and i hope to get those done soon. this one here is printed on an old manilla folder - i enjoy recycling paper for printing, it makes each piece more unique and interesting.
enjoy.

simon's beach party
here's the finished work. it feels like a spring day today so i've been photographing some new and old works... this is currently hanging above our fireplace. it still reminds me of a scene from a fellini movie.
enjoy.

it's a she-devil
here's the latest, latest version of my wild iris print, she-devil. i set out to do about 20 or 21, but ended up doing 37 (so far). a strange number to end up with on the day before i turn 38! and i'll probably continue to carve away and print single color prints with the face and body.
print collectors will probably not like that i never number my prints like 1/37, instead i number all of my work as each piece is a unique piece of art. plus i catalog the prints right along with my paintings.. so there you have it...
enjoy!

pisa
this print is based on graffiti that i saw in pisa back in 2002. it looked like someone has graffitied someone elses grafitti by painting bright pink bunny ears on the skull. it made me laugh and was truely my favorite thing that i saw in pisa. (pisa is like the panama city beach of italy!) i love italy, just not pisa. alas, they have good grafitti artists!
